in Training Aiming High And Hitting The Target
Bethany and Jesse
Carmichael earned all A's this
last Semester and are well entrenched on the Distinguished Scholar List
at Montreat College. Bethany had high academic achievement while
also playing on the Women's Varsity Soccer Team, acting as a member of
the Service And Leadership Team (SALT), working at least ten hours per
week in the Wilson Scholar Program, and heading up the Montreat College
chapter of the Not For Sale
ministry. Jesse achieved high academic standing in his 20.5
credit hours of courses, working at least ten hours per week in the
Wilson Scholar Program, and playing on the Men's Junior Varsity Soccer

Minister-In-Training 
Bethany - Attended the URBANA
2009 Missions Conference in St. Louis, Missouri, from December 27th
through 31st.
Many attendees went to see if they could get a vision for
a particular mission ministry. Bethany found that her vision for
ministry is already solid and everything confirmed to her that she is
on the right track. The Urbana Missions Conference was an
important step in Bethany equiping herself for her future Christian
missions ministry.
Thank you to those several people who gave financial
support to provide the minimum money that she needed to attend ,
to have spending money while she was there and some to help others in
the group meet their financial need.
Jesse -
Has is extreme cold weather equipment ready for his trip to the
mountains of Montana to live in a
snow hut for three weeks to achieve his survival skill training and
First Responder Certification. After 3 & 1/2 years of
college, being on the Distinguished Scholars List and doing it all
while he turned 19 two months ago, his finishing this important
Emersion program is contingent upon us getting his tuition paid on
time. We don't have access to student loans. The good thing
is, our young ministers in training will not begin their ministry
careers in debt. The bad thing, we have to come up with $2,495
right now, and again for each of the next three months. Encourage
your friends to get in on our rummage sale of silver, gold, a surfboard
and a 2004 Mustang.

 Changes In The Faith & Freedom Radio
Program Over The Next Several Months
David Scheduled To Speak at Virginia
Capitol Legislative Rally on January 18th
at 10:00 A.M. Along with
Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli and Others.
Please join me at the Capitol Bell Tower on
January 18th at 10:00 am. It is the day the Virginia
legislators go to work. The day when they expect to see if
anybody really cares about legislation that has the potential to make
or break Virginia. Fulfill your civic duty and hold your
representative accountable to acting as a minister of God for your
good. Be salt and light. Don't hide your light under a
bushel or become disposable tasteless salt. It will be cold, and will cost you some
inconvenience. You can be vigilant and leave our posterity
with a land that is free and right or you can be complacent and be
responsible for the enslavement and distruction of the land you leave
to your posterity.
Some Progress Made In
The Rummage Sale
One person responded to our email and
asked to purchase about 99% of our newest and best conditioned
half-dollars, quarters, and dimes along with some lesser quality
century old Morgan Silver Dollars. The gift of $1,000.00 took
care of 28% of our immediate need.
We are now posting coins on ebay where we will
probably get bottom dollar. One
of the coins is a highly collectable 1921 Peace dollar in mint state
condition. The book value is anywhere from $200 if graded
low, to about $400 if graded consistent with others in like
condition. I grade it at MS-60 but I saw one just like it graded
as MS-62 by an official grading company.
