How Much 'Going' Are You Doing?
I heard
that someone described my ministry as "Over-The-Top." Take
note: Jesus, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Job,
Moses, Joshua,
Samuel, David, Isaiah,
Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshiak, Abednego, Elijah, Elisha,
John
The Baptist, Paul, Peter, John, James and many others were
"over-the-top." Those "over-the-top"
believers conformed to the "normal" to which the Lord would have
us all conform. Sadly, among our Christian
communities, those who are "over-the-top" are not the norm. Most in our Christian communities are merely
"typical" rather than being the "over-the-top" that we believers ought
to consider as "normal." Jesus,
Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Job, Moses, etc. listed above are examples of
God's idea of "normal." The
closer we get to the "over-the-top" of Jesus, the more "normal" we
become.
The closer we get to the
"over-the-top" of Jesus
the more "normal we become.

July 5, 2007 was our
fist broadcast of the Faith & Freedom show in the Hampton Roads,
metropolitan area. We broadcast
on commercial talk radio to fulfill the great commission of Jesus to
make
disciples of all men, teaching them to observe all things that Jesus
has
commanded us. We discuss the issues of
the day on a constitutional basis, a biblical basis, and on the basis
of right
versus wrong. That gives us
opportunities to break the chains of vain philosophy and empty deceit,
the
traditions of men, and the basic principles of the world (Collosians
2:8) that
have captured the minds of our society. We
introduce our radio audience to wisdom that is
being crowded out of
their lives by the media and the education system. We strive to
let our
speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that we might know how
to
answer each issue, and each person who calls our talk radio show.
(Collosians 4:6)
Most Christian that we talk to are not well
educated or practiced in presenting the gospel through the means of
communicating a biblical worldview on the issues of the day. Many
Christians hesitate to venture out to confront the deception that has
captured our society. That is
why we are doing it by way of talk radio. |
